The Hive - Kew Gardens

Designed by UK based artist Wolfgang Buttress, The Hive is a visual tribute to Britain’s honeybees, created for the UK Pavilion at the 2015 Milan Expo, it has been reinstalled in Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

A thousand LED lights pulse according to the vibrations of bees that live in the Gardens accompanied  a musical symphony that works in harmony to the bees daily routines.

In partnership with Kew’s Creative Department we developed a series of oak interventions that carried interpretation and opportunities to sit and enjoy the installation in the wonderful surrounding wildflower meadows.
