Life Labs - Centre for Life, Newcastle

The three labs used by the schools programme at the Centre for Life are aimed at the different key stages for students.

We dressed the corridors at entry to these more exciting by adding coloured discs to the walls that question the visitors on route and invite them to celebrate what they want to become when they are older - all in the name of science!

The key Stage 2 room is a large white cavernous space and required some colour and focus for the room specifically for the age group and families that sometimes use the space at weekends.

We created a mural style wall graphic that focussed on the North east, the centre and what children can gain through learning science.

The area in a forgotten corner where there was once a kitchen sink has been rejuvenated with  2 funky triple sinks and a fishing boat and waves mural splash back that encourages every child to want to wash their hands!
